Before I started nutrition coaching with Amy I felt like so much of my life and day to day revolved around feeling hungry, feeling guilty or feeling overwhelmed by trying to balance a healthy lifestyle alongside running my own business and just existing in general. I had been eating relatively healthy for years and even with a consistent gym routine I felt like I was never where I wanted to be, people always told me to cut carbs and just eat less but I am not a good person when I do either. I knew I needed to find something that would work with me and my ever changing schedule but also not feel restrictive because I love to cook and try new things. I am constantly surprised by how good I feel and how easy it's been to work with Amy, I am eating more than I ever thought I could in a deficit, maintaining muscle, and living my life guilt free about all things food related. My mindset around food and diet has improved so much and I know I am building habits that allow me to be present and mindful while still enjoying all the little things along the way.

I have wanted to return to my own healthy weight for a while but all of my previous dieting methods resulted in the weight coming right back on. Amy’s coaching is based on sustainable weight loss and learning a lot about the food we fuel our bodies with. She emphasizes empowerment while also being a huge encouragement along the way. So far, I’m down over 24 lbs and I eat more food now than I was before. I feel healthier, more confident, and motivated to keep going! Amy is great at explaining topics in such a way that they make sense. She talks positively about bodies and food, and is setting up a foundation of healthier living that I know I’ll be able to maintain.

Since high school, I have always struggled with navigating food and obsessing over my body image. I was a college athlete and learned how to overdo exercise very well--to the point that it consumed me! In 2023, I had my first baby and LOVED my postpartum experience, but I struggled so hard to lose my baby weight. I tried everything from exercising multiple times a day, cutting calories, etc. I am SO thankful for Amy and her program because she taught me how to eat to not only fuel my body, but to also lose the weight in a very healthy and sustainable way (this is a first for me). Since working with Amy, I have learned how to eat well, eat enough, and care for my body. I was so surprised to learn that sometimes this can look like working out LESS and eating more! Before I started working with Amy I didn't know what I needed to do in order to see sustainable results. I knew I needed to decrease calories, but I didn't know how to do that in a way where I wasn't starving. When I was trying to lose weight on my own, I mostly felt like giving up and that weight loss wouldn't happen for me. When I started working with Amy, I was able to really change my diet and figure out the best way to fuel my body so I would maintain stable energy throughout the day. I started seeing results almost immediately and that helped me to buy into the process. If I could give advice to someone starting out on this journey, I would say, "If you stick with this process you will see results and there are ways to do it where you can still enjoy food and not feel so restricted."

I have lived with chronic pain for the past 10+ years and struggled to find ways to maintain my weight since 2020. Before working with Amy, I tried a few different methods of dieting but none seemed to help me. I didn’t have a good relationship with food, or the understanding of proper consumption with certain foods. I started with Amy 12 weeks ago and have since learned healthier eating habits and have gained much more understanding of what my body needs while still losing weight. I have lost a total of 28lbs and almost ¾ of the way to my first weight goal!
